A look at some of the most horrible examples of horse equipment on the market today.
Please remember, this blog is simply MY opinions. Everyone has some and like armpits, some stink! It is all subjective anyway. I am not telling anyone what to use at all. I am just making observations and stating my own likes and dislikes. If you do not agree, fine, you are entitled. THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY.
Please, read and enjoy and try not to be ugly to others. Everyone has a right to their opinions.

Woodgrain
Wow, a woodgrain saddle. I think. Not sure exactly WHAT they were going for with this. It just looks funky. Not too horribly tacky, but odd looking, and cheap looking too.
Yes, horribly tacky. Go with your first thought. I think it may be one of the tackiest I've seen on here, and you've had some good ones :) Its so truly awful and cheap looking that its in a class of it's own.
Somewhere in a multi-purpose factory in India, some Hindi guy named Bob with a phone set in his ear is trouble shooting a computer problem with a housewife in America as he stitches the stirrup leathers in his latest creation, a woodgrain saddle, the 30th one he has made this week. He is so happy as he has just gotten a raise to $1.10/hr.

ReplyDeleteThat is beyond hideous. I can sort of understand the pink, blue, green saddles, but woodgrain??? And tacky, cheap woodgrain at that???
ReplyDeleteMy eyes are bleeding.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the interior of an old school camper. lol
ReplyDeleteSo is that walnut or oakbark? Maybe juniper??? Someone tell me. I need to know!
ReplyDeleteWonder how much the saddle is loved by woodpeckers. The birds, not the cowboys who think they are all that...
That saddle creeps me out.
ReplyDeleteOh holy hell!
ReplyDeleteI actually just said that out loud. Yikes.
That's one dreary looking saddle. It looks like it's made from scraps of cheap 1970's car seat vinyl.
ReplyDeletelooks like the ugly paneling in the DOUBLE WIDE I used to live in at a farm in MD. Ok, it was a nice trailer, but man was it '70's.
ReplyDeleteYou know, with the advanced computer graphics we have today, somebody could test this kind of thing out before making it, and know that it sucked.
ReplyDeleteYES it reminds me of the 1976 GMC motorhome we had when I was a teenager.
ReplyDeleteI bet hunters like this saddle, even if it ain't camo.
Why oh why would you want to repeat the wood paneling tragedy of the 70's and on a saddle? Just plain wierd.
