A look at some of the most horrible examples of horse equipment on the market today.
Please remember, this blog is simply MY opinions. Everyone has some and like armpits, some stink! It is all subjective anyway. I am not telling anyone what to use at all. I am just making observations and stating my own likes and dislikes. If you do not agree, fine, you are entitled. THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY.
Please, read and enjoy and try not to be ugly to others. Everyone has a right to their opinions.

More Overpriced Tacky
Another flag patterned Decoucoux saddle for sale. Used this sucker is over $5200!!
After seeing this, there is something to be said for the days when they thought that putting the American flag on "things" (shirts, hats and now saddles) was considered dishonorable! They've taken this to a whole new level. And $5200...Are they smokin CRACK?
Seriously though, I agree. Some things are just a bit much. Then there are those so far over the line, they probably didn't even know there was one to cross.
I saw this for sale at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. It was obviously a custom display piece, not made for practical use. It's extremely intricate, the stars are cut outs, and the strips are individual pieces of leather.
Don't get me wrong, if anyone tried to actually USE this saddle I might tackle them, but I think it is to be respected as a piece of art. A saddle maker was just looking for a challenge. =]

ReplyDeleteBleck!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do if this saddle touches the ground? Awful lot of money to spend on a saddle you'll have to burn, lol.
ReplyDeletewell.... at least they didn't try to put all 50 stars on....
ReplyDeleteAlso looks like it was made for a horse with a sway back....
Oh! Um, wow!
ReplyDeleteeeew. let's not get too patriotic kids. I'm sure its good quality, but why would you need something this impractical?
ReplyDeletePretty awful to put the flag where you can fart on it....
ReplyDeleteCP- ROFL! Ya crackin me up!

Such poor taste we use with our flags these days . . . *sigh*
ReplyDeleteAll I can think about is..your rubbing your ass on the American Flag, how disrespectful.
ReplyDeleteWhen I opened the post I actually squawk screamed! Aack.

How do I get my blog name to be an easy 'click to link'?
Saw this saddle at the Washington International horse show tonight. I think it was in the silent auction. I have to admit it was a nice saddle.
