You know, without the red streak and the "cooter spot" this isn't a bad saddle. As is it looks a bit, um, odd.

A look at some of the most horrible examples of horse equipment on the market today. Please remember, this blog is simply MY opinions. Everyone has some and like armpits, some stink! It is all subjective anyway. I am not telling anyone what to use at all. I am just making observations and stating my own likes and dislikes. If you do not agree, fine, you are entitled. THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY. Please, read and enjoy and try not to be ugly to others. Everyone has a right to their opinions.
Ok, I can almost accept this one. I mean, I don't want the skidmark down the middle, but the tooling is nice.
ReplyDeleteIt kinda looks like someone forgot they were "due" when they went for a trail ride!
ReplyDeleteYeaaaa...it DOES look like someone forgot the time of the month when they went for a ride. If it wern't for that streaky-ness and the black on the leather then I'd proudly ride in this. I really does look like a high-dollar saddle.
ReplyDelete*snort* "cooter spot" made me giggle.
ReplyDeleteWithout the tiger seat and the smear down the center it would be an attractive saddle.
ReplyDeleteObviously a MAN designed this.... :P
ReplyDeleteIf it had a seat that matched the roughout fenders, or plain black, I'd really LIKE this saddle.
Unfortunately, the Aunt-Ruby-Came-Early thing is a real dealbreaker.
I snorted my drink all over my keyboard. "cooter spot" LMAO!! what a horrible idea for a saddle, lets just put a red streak right here...ugggg
ReplyDeleteI'm with ya TXnascarcowgirl. . . .I, too, snorted Diet Coke on keyboard AND screen. . ."cooter" -- ha! What a mess. . . same goes for this saddle seat, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteDang. A really nice looking saddle hit tacky on the head. Or uh the rump, as it may be. Are we happier that it's not brown, or that it's red? Oh wait. Neither!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely designed by a male of the species. One who was Not Thinking.
This is a custom made saddle, someone asked to have it done..hehehe
ReplyDeletelol! this was the request for the custum order. "umm ya ok, I have a really irregular cycle! so just in case can you put a huge red streak down the middle of the seat so if I get my rag nobody will know if it's blood or if it's just my hediously tacky custom saddle!!"
ReplyDeleteLooks like it'd be a comfy saddle with such a deep seat and the little knife (or whatever) holder is a nice touch but I'm not sure what irks me more; the skid mark, the totally out of place pale pink looking bit (sorry not familiar with western saddles so don't know correct terminology) or the tiger skin print.
ReplyDeleteNice saddle despite those things and yes, definitely designed by a man.
I really like this saddle... my biggest gripe is not the cooter spot (lets face it, you'll be sitting on it) but the flippin cross concho's. I hate the Christian Cowboy crap, I think it's tacky, and it's like putting a bumper stick on your saddle. How would you like it if I had "ATHEIST!!!!" tooled on my saddle? Would it annoy you? Gah.
ReplyDeleteAnd *ducks as I say it* I actually kind of like the tiger seat...
