I really despise the big round parts on the straps, that looks weird. If they had to put a pink concho, why not there the browband attaches to the crownpiece like normal tack?

A look at some of the most horrible examples of horse equipment on the market today. Please remember, this blog is simply MY opinions. Everyone has some and like armpits, some stink! It is all subjective anyway. I am not telling anyone what to use at all. I am just making observations and stating my own likes and dislikes. If you do not agree, fine, you are entitled. THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY. Please, read and enjoy and try not to be ugly to others. Everyone has a right to their opinions.
It actually wouldn't be that bad if it didn't have those HUGE circle things on the headstall. It's like the perfect touch of pink for a rider that is going with pink as "their color" for that horse. But the big stupid circle things have got to go.
ReplyDeleteBecause putting the giant circle things in the "usual" place would be, like, um, smart.
ReplyDeleteyuck. I'm a hunter person, so there's no western tack in my collection, but I do know "pretty" when I see it. totally not seeing it here.
Craptastic pretentious goodness! ;)
ReplyDeleteThose look so totally aftermarket. Bleah.
ReplyDeleteIt's as bad as ricing out your moms old Accord: it ain't gonna make it better!!
@cattypex: LOLOLOL!
ReplyDeleteenvisioning a riced out '80 something Accord!
LOL bad. Heres one for you http://cowboy.com/user_images/rphoto3338803.jpg
ReplyDeleteThis is actually well made tack, just ugly I think. We used to sell this like hotcakes in the tack store I worked at. It's popular with the speed events (gymkhana) people. I don't know why, but it's along the same lines as those Baby Fat (?) boots....I think they look ridiculous. And I'm a speed event Mom!
ReplyDeleteNot the worst thing ever, but not so nice. Take the six conchos of the breastplate,leave the centre one, and put the cheekpiece concho on the brow and cheek junction, and it would be okay. On a nice bay or grey, maybe...
