No, I will NEVER run out of fodder for this weekly feature. NEVER. Scary, isn't it?

A look at some of the most horrible examples of horse equipment on the market today. Please remember, this blog is simply MY opinions. Everyone has some and like armpits, some stink! It is all subjective anyway. I am not telling anyone what to use at all. I am just making observations and stating my own likes and dislikes. If you do not agree, fine, you are entitled. THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY. Please, read and enjoy and try not to be ugly to others. Everyone has a right to their opinions.
I could totally see this one on a cute little fat kid's pony. For an adult, way too cutsie!
ReplyDeleteI like it, but I suspect those stirrups are set too far back for my creaky old hips......
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty shade of pink, though.....
If Holly Hobby had a horse.
ReplyDeleteThis one is less horrible than some of the others. At least the colors are subdued.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a Strawberry Shortcake saddle. I bet it's scented, & I don't mean horsie, either.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't the worse... I actually like the subdued pink with the white and light brown, and I'll admit I am a sucker for the heart cut outs xD I could do with out the rhinestones though
ReplyDeleteI love sparklies. I think the pink is faux-ostrich, which is special. New reader. I have to catch up on all the pretty pink saddles.
ReplyDeleteI think this saddle is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI agree I can totally see this on a fat pony with a princess rider. For an adult not so much.
ReplyDeleteActually for a kid & pony, I'd like to see BRIGHTER magenta hearts, and NO ostrichy bumps!
ReplyDeletedo people who ride in faux ostrich skin feel the bumps on their hineys? I imagine, after bouncing around and hitting your horse's kidneys with your ass during a barrel run, that the bumps would eventually start to chafe.
ReplyDeletethose stirrups look set far back, too. I don't know if it's me or what.
I must say I find the soft pink much less offensive than the brighter stuff, especially next to the natural light suede, but there's just way to much heartsy-fartsy going on here for me.
ReplyDeleteOT, but there's a Mcpherson on Ebay just like one I used to ride in and LOVED.
ReplyDeleteShould I bid?
This is a dumb question. That was one comfy saddle.
It just kills me....most the tacky saddles are all barrel saddles LOL! I am not picking on barrel racers by any means....I am one! But boy the tack GACK!
ReplyDeleteI have seen this in a dark leather, it is a kids saddle, and it is soooooo cute
ReplyDeleteIt's not that bad. It's not neon and nothing really clashes. The fender placement is ridiculous, but you can fix that.
ReplyDeleteHey---Just found the lime green "version" of this saddle. Notice the heart at the base of the saddle horn--nice touch! At least the seller realizes it is a nice saddle for the "right person":
