A look at some of the most horrible examples of horse equipment on the market today. Please remember, this blog is simply MY opinions. Everyone has some and like armpits, some stink! It is all subjective anyway. I am not telling anyone what to use at all. I am just making observations and stating my own likes and dislikes. If you do not agree, fine, you are entitled. THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY. Please, read and enjoy and try not to be ugly to others. Everyone has a right to their opinions.
Girls who love pink ponies will love this guy.
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful in his own way.
i have a soft spot for cobs....theyre just soooo cute! and this guy is no exepton...=]
ReplyDeleteNot just girls who like pink ponies, DigitSis. I like drafts and nice stocky cobby horses for their very own selves (and I can be as impractical and silly as I want with my imaginary herd!).
ReplyDeleteI don't like cobs, but if you do....he's nice (and plenty hairy)! My dream horse is a Friesian, but since they are big $$$$, I may never own one.......(sigh)......
ReplyDeleteThis was originally a sale ad? Weird choice of body placement to show off conformation. Makes his shoulder look completely vertical.
ReplyDeleteGreat placement to show off hair. :) Personally, I don't buy for hair.
I love horses that look like big ponies. As well as the elegant supermodel types. Okay. I love horses. We'll leave it at that. He's pretty!
Timely! I was just enjoying a Gypsy Vanner/Friesian Horse show (Fall Feathered Classic or something like that) at the Georgia National Fair day before yesterday. This guy could have been there. I think they are beautiful but overpriced.
ReplyDeleteMet a guy from Europe and he said that Friesians are cheap over there, but getting them over to the US is spendy!
ReplyDeletehe's beautiful, i want one (i've wanted one for a long time). though he's kinda impractical for the things i do with my horses lol
ReplyDeleteThis photo strikes me as English for some reason....
ReplyDeleteHe IS cute, but I bet he costs a MINT.
How much conditioner, white brite, tail wraps and scratches treatment would you go through in a year with one of these?
I love cobs, but I agree they tend to be overpriced these days. To me, a cob is a nice, quiet horse that all members of the family share and does everything reasonably, if not well.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else think the bridle looks funny?
ReplyDeleteIt's the way the guy's holding the reins so his hand isn't between the horse's head and the camera making it look weird.
ReplyDeleteI love cobs... of a not so huge variety, lol. When I'm at home I ride with a lady who breeds some very lovely welsh cobs.
ReplyDeleteI would hate to have to care for all that HAIR that he has. That seems like it would take forever.
