Scary Pink Saddle of the Week

WTF? Oh my, this thing is awful. And according to the pic "NEW" and "HAND MADE". Wow. It really never ceases to amaze me the amount of this stuff that is available. The unending stream of Pepto-Bismol colored tack effortlessly keeps me in blog fodder. I can almost taste the Pepto in the back of my mouth. Yech. Gag.

  2. LOL I'm so desperate for a new barrel racing saddle, I'd take it! :( I hate being broke!

  3. This is a nice saddle except for the pink and the hearts. I could even live with just the a pink seat. Why do they have to ruin a perfectly nice saddle by putting crap all over it.

  4. Hand made! In China!

  5. I must be becoming immune to pink saddles...they no longer shock me. However they are still ugly and would never be found in my tack room.

  6. If the hearts weren't there I could live with this saddle and the pink accents. I doesn't appear to be horribly made, but of course the tack laying over it makes it hard to tell.

  7. I think I have found the one and only word I would use to describe this-

    *HORK*

and I think I just did...

Ain't no amount of Pepto going to soothe this one.

  8. I never, ever, EVER thought I'd be nostalgic for the silver hearts so popular on Western stuff in the 1980s.

But at least those were real show saddles, real quality, real leather, real silver....

Back in the day, if it was a shitty saddle, no one bothered to put silver on it....

  10. Considering that I have never heard of an assembly line for saddles; every one of them is "hand made". I wonder if the workers were given sunglasses.....

  11. Good point Phaedra! I have't heard of an assembly line yet either. If anyone gets the idea, let's squash it since I have doubts the substandard leather will be scrapped in the process.

  12. You know what's even scarier? The apparent un-ending fodder for this blog. You'd think they'd have run out of ugly tack.... but no-o-o-o1
