It amazes me...

...how one company can provide SO MUCH scary looking tack to this blog. How many times have we seen their products here? They must keep the factories in Craptackistan working night and day to produce this stuff. Also, HOW exactly do you get leather to be this color? I can just imagine the cracking and flaking of the finish, not to mention the high quality leather and padding. However, if you feel you just can't do without, they kindly post their toll free number on EVERYTHING.

  1. Craptackistan. My finest hour! ;-)

It never fails to amaze me how BLIND people are to bad quality. I mean, you don't have to be a horseperson to see how awful some of this stuff is!!

  2. Well, in defense of pink as a tack color (although there is NO defense for this particular bridle), I knew someone once who had a horse who was a difficult shade of chestnut. She tried lots of different colors & they either looked hideous or barely passable. Out of desperation, she tried pink and it looked really good. She did not know if she should be happy that finally a color looked really good or dismayed that it was pink.
She went with happy & ended up with pink bridle & saddle pad.

  4. I like colored tack: purple is my chosen color. I also like black. But colors are available in Biothane. Why mess up perfectly good leather to make that hideous pepto (d)bismal pink color?
And what's with the bright yellow inner band? ewww.

  5. Awesome! I'm going to dial right now....not! Although I should probably hide this from my daughter...her pony would be none too thrilled having to wear this around. By the way, as if it's not bad enough looking like Barbie's horse bridle, what fashion genius decided pink and mustard yellow went together?

  7. I have noticed that a lot of shows are now doing "pink" classes - benefit classes for breast cancer. So I can see the market for this god awful thing and sadly I would purchase it for this (pink class) purpose. However it would remain hiding before and after the class.

  8. Aaaaaaand there's probably a reason we do NOT see this in the dressage arenas. Thank Dawg!

  9. Eh, I have a cute white/grey pony and would totally buy this for her as a schooling bridle w/ matching pink saddle pad and polos. If I wasn't afraid of the pink coming off of the tack :)
