Painful Purple

Wow, this sure is, um, shiny. Lots of rhinestones, black ostrich, and METALLIC purple leather accents. Though a well made saddle overall, the combination of all of these embellishments is a bit overkill. I also don't like the black and metallic purple combo. If it were all black, it might be a bit more tolerable but as it is, it is just painful to look at. The little purple $ sign just makes the whole saddle doesn't it?

  1. Looks like that seat would be slick as well as shiny. And that dollar sign - just a bit too obvious.

  2. Is this the "Richie Rich" saddle and that's why it has to have the $ sign on it? Metallic leather doesn't hold up either. I was on a drill team that used it and the metallic wears off easily and quickly. IMO..It is crap!

  4. ^ I can see a wannabe barrel racer using that - and sliding off! hehehe. The dollar signs must be placed in irony, since they only make it look cheaper.

  5. lol I can so see a wannabe barrel racer using that. I see wannabe's using saddles close enough to that one as it is. oh well makes it as a sign to stay away from them lol.

and whats with the dollar sign on a cheaply made saddle?

  6. The 3 different colors of tan don't help any, either.

  10. Looks slippery. not a good trait.

I find the "$" in the corner of the skirt to be more tacky than the fact it's metallic and purple.

I *really* don't understand the two piece seat. That looks like a *very* ill concieved place for a seam!

    meh. to each his own.

  13. Purple is my favourite colour, but thats still not enough to make me like this. Its a shame, because if it weren't for that super tacky $ sign and the purple, I think it would actually be a decent looking saddle, design wise.

  14. I like this saddle, i would buy it if there was ostritch instead of the metalic stuff.

as for wanna be barrel racers go - whoever said that you give barrel racers a bad name. I feel bad everytime i go to a barrel race and my friends make fun of the 4H, fun show kids who occasionaly show up. They never come back.
and actually, i know a lot of pro girls who have some saddles that you would all make fun of until you saw the price tag

  15. Pimp my saddle?
xmarisa: we didn't target barrel racers, we said "wannabe"...people who have no clue about the sport and think it's all glam.

  16. Wow, I saw the first picture and was like, huh, a little flashy but I'd ride in it. And then I saw it was shiny...

  17. Wow. All I can think of is The Artist Formerly Known As Prince' song "Purple Rain". As in maybe it was left out in the...? The dollar sign really makes it. Yup. Be right up there for me. *eyeroll*
