Treeless Tacky

Treeless and tacky, looks really well made too. I would be scared to death to actually try to USE this on a horse. It looks like it would just fall the hell apart at any moment.

  1. Even scarier is your supposed to trust this thing to keep your preschooler in place???

  2. That's a thousand kinds of hideous.

Treeless saddles look odd enough but that just takes the biscuit blah

  4. As horrible as it looks, those little kid's "cub saddles" aren't really meant for anything more than leading a toddler around walking or a bit of trotting on a fat Shetland pony. My friend has one for her 4 year old son which is made by one of the well known UK manufacturers and even that one looks cheap but what do you expect for £49.99 (hers is black not blue though).

Personally, I wouldn't buy one for a little kid anyways. When my son started riding at 4, I bought a nice 2nd hand tiny leather pony saddle to make sure he started out having a good position. These cub saddles don't encourage a youngster to sit up properly. Those black plastic stirrups though as really useful for little riders, I had them on my son's saddle.

  5. That thing doesn't even look comfortable! I wouldn't be caught riding in that, EVER! I prefer my second-hand BT Crump saddle.

  6. Perfect re-entry post. :) I looked at it in awe: what IS that?
Thanks SSG for answering. It would have driven me insane.
