Redneck Fabulous

Here are some saddle blankets for all the truckers out there. They have custom hair on cowhide patches with rhinestones and designs that look like they came off of the mudflaps of a big rig. Classy.

Oh, and check it, the girl on the first one is OSTRICH leather too. Bonus.

  1. I have every intention of jumping on the bandwagon and hating this one, but then I saw the skull pad. My drill team had a skull and cross bones theme going this year and that pad is perfect! Can you start listing where you find these tacky finds for those of us that wanting to actually purchase them.

  2. An Image of Grace: I'm thinking you could probably add a decal (check fabric stores) to a black pad and get the same effect and probably cheaper (and better looking) than these?

  3. these are actually 5 star pads, which are very nice pads. They can be tacky, but some of them are very nice, these ones are just a little unfortunate. The end one is nice, but these pads are FABULOUS quality - without the odd designs

  4. they are also VERY expensive... plan to spend atleast $200 on one of these

  5. They don't "look" expensive any longer with the tacky stuff on them? Also, for a drill team, each team member has to purchase their own tack, so asking them to buy a $200 pad is asking an awful lot.

  6. I admit to having sent this one in.

Bit N Spur Tack has them for $189 at the bottom of the page as linked.

There were several other things of questionable creation on their website...

Some I wondered "WHY?" Others I don't know if Any thought went into them.

  7. As Barrel said, the 5 star pads are great and quality is rarely cheap, but then when you think about what you expect from the tack you buy, I would rather spend a little more and get what's best for my horse.

  8. The mudflap girl has chicken pox.

  9. While I agree that quality is not cheap....I tend to be a middle-of-road type person myself. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive usually works out best for me.

She DOES have the chicken pox! Too funny!

  10. 1. Ick...hideous.

    2. THIS Trucker, nor any of her extensive professional acquaintance, would be caught dead with crap like this adorning either horse or truck. There is a difference between the over compensating psuedo-alpha types that decorate their rides with this crap and the true pros. Mostly, you never notice the pros because we're driving for us, you four-wheelers AND these jackanapes who are the ones with delusions of Earndhart and the dangling rubber testicles on the back bumper.
