All I can say is, "What. The. Hell."
Why? This is sold as a mule bit. I know mules, they don't need something like this any more than a horse does. They are NOT stupid, stubborn, or untrainable. People are so ignorant sometimes.
All I can say is "Why??" And ow.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any equine or equine relative would ever need something like that. It just looks horrifying. All the mules I know are very even tempered and trainable. Yes they can be stubborn but only until they figure out what you are looking for. Hurting them is not going to help, that is for sure.

Looks like the outward curve to the gag action would add even more pressure - ouch! Whoever decided that bicycle chain on any animal's mouth was a good idea should be shot.

ReplyDeleteThe worst thing about these bike chain bits is that if you think about it, why did someone start making and marketing these bits? Because they found out that some a**hole was making his own bits from a real bicycle chain. Now just think about that, some poor horse had some homemade greasy old bit of bicycle chain in his mouth.

bicycle chain is terrible on its own, but why the heck do they have to make them SEESAWED/ with SPIKES????
ReplyDeleteWhy isnt there a movement to remove these type of things from the market. For all the human groups out there no one seems to address this issue. This will inflict pain merely by putting it in the horse/mules mouth. All in the name of making a dollar right! The head of the company that makes this should have to wear this.
