Scary Pink Saddle of the Week

This weeks edition has not only the fugly ostrich leather and frilled lizard skirts, but it has been attacked by the crazed BeDazzler! They have covered every conceivable surface with a myriad of sparklies. Flowers, stars, hearts, conchos, silver plates, and crosses galore. Yikes. Why on earth would you DO this? They probably wouldn't stay on well anyway, and it has made this already questionable saddle completely hideous. Added to that the obvious lack of quality of the saddle itself (check out the wrinkled leather, curled skirts, and the way it sits on the horse, who I am sure is completely mortified at having to wear it) it is an overall Tacky extravaganza.

Oy, time for the eye bleach.

  2. I feel so so sorry for that horse (especially if it's a gelding).

  3. That horse looks like it needs an extra scoop of feed a day. And I can just imagine how that saddle is going to look covered in glue spots where the little jewels used to be but fell off. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm sure I would pick pick pick until they were all plucked off.

  4. I am more concerned about that horse than that monstrosity of a saddle. He is a little on the thin side. More feed, less rhinestones please.

  5. I can't decide which is the finishing touch - the little crosses, the random conchos stuck everywhere, or the fact that it's perched on that poor, skinny nag with the tangled mane. As if to say, "in case you couldn't tell, this IS a saddle, see? It's on a horse's back!"

  6. Oh my... it looks like Easter exploded all over it.

The horse is rather skinny as well. I'm more concerned about that than the hideous saddle.

  7. The saddle might fit better if they spent their time feeding the horse instead of "bedazzling" the saddle. I'm sure, as FHOTD always points out, their excuse will be the horse is old.

I have a 27 year old anglo-arab that is doing just fine on weight. I have to keep him separated from the other horses and he gets a vitamins/mineral supplement w/enzymes and probiotics, beet pulp, grain and all the hay he can eat. He wastes A LOT of hay, which I then feed to my other horses (two fat mares that get hay only and still stay fat).

All it takes is a little extra work and coodination, but how can you look at that horse's weight and feel okay about it??

  8. In the saddle's defense, the horse is pretty thin.

  9. Oohh.. My 6yo niece just luuvveed this saddle. God thing she doesn't get to pick out the tack! Blech! She thinks it needs Tinker Bell added somewhere to be completely perfect!

  10. I'll buy that ugly saddle to put in my bonfire if they'll use the money to buy some feed for that horse! That's just disgusting all the way around....including the horse!! I think the easter bunny threw up on it!!

  12. So now there are two things visible on Earth from outer space: the Great Wall of China and this saddle!

  13. Oh, and I figured out why the horse is so skinny. They obviously chased her (or him) around the pasture for days, possibly weeks, to get this saddle on her back. It's not that they don't care, or can't figure out that hip and back bones aren't supposed to stick out. Couldn't possibly be that they spend their feed budget for the next 6 months on that saddle. They were just trying to get the saddle on the horse. Next time, take the old ugly brown saddle out of the tack room, catch the horse, THEN pull out the Pink Demon.

    Wouldn't you run, too?

  16. I want o.o
It looks so cute! I know, I know, if I wore it on my tiny pony in the US i'd be shot. But I don't think it looks that bad!

  17. well I have to say opinions are like butt holes everyone has one... but in everyones defense... every person has their own opinion of what they like that is why every tack set looks different... if they all looked the same then we would all be very blah and boring.. and I do know that if I saw a tack set I made on this page it would really hurt my feelings.. because if you or any of you have every took the time to make a tack set.. you would know how long it takes to make them. Keep in mind there are a lot of people out there that have to do this on a saddle because they dont have the money to actually buy an expensive one that their kid might have wanted. All I know is to make a site like this.. you must have a lot of time on your hand... I have an idea... how about making some of your own tack and post it on here.. and let us comment on it... I bet everyone would have a differnet opinion.. and I bet some of those might actually hurt your feelings. I pray every night for people like you who get a kick out of hurting other people... you might think this is harmless but its not
