A look at some of the most horrible examples of horse equipment on the market today. Please remember, this blog is simply MY opinions. Everyone has some and like armpits, some stink! It is all subjective anyway. I am not telling anyone what to use at all. I am just making observations and stating my own likes and dislikes. If you do not agree, fine, you are entitled. THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY. Please, read and enjoy and try not to be ugly to others. Everyone has a right to their opinions.
Oh man, that looks like a Barefoot saddle too. I'm so disappointed in them! (I love my Barefoot saddle, though)
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone in their right mind think that those colors go together? Nasty!
ReplyDeleteendurance riders like colors. lol
ReplyDeleteOh goodness no! No No NO!
ReplyDeleteAre Barefoot saddles any good? My gelding has linebacker shoulders and camel withers..... I've been considering treeless, though I'm broke at the moment ;)
ReplyDeleteThat particular saddle is just a WRONG combo of colors. Oh well, with pink AND blue, you could put it on a gelding OR a mare!
txtrigger---I like colors too, but not ALL on one saddle!
ReplyDeletecattypex,
ReplyDeleteI like mine though if you ask folks in general about treeless saddles, you'll get half telling you treeless saddles are ALWAYS terrible for horses, no matter what, half telling you they're always great for horses, no matter what, and a third half ( ;) ) telling you it depends.
There's a treeless saddles group on yahoogroups with lots of knowledgeable folks though who I'm sure would love to talk about Barefoot saddles. The Trail and Endurance section of the COTH forums (chronicleforums.com) is also another good resource.
Ditto what Analise said. This looks to me like a sample piece to show you all the possible colors that you could have your saddle made in. Personally, I like normal leather colors like shades of brown and black. This one is just hideous in any one of those colors let alone ALL of them.
ReplyDeleteOh gawd, looks like something I'd thought on a gelding just to embarrass him in front of his friends and for a good laugh.
ReplyDeletehmmm, a new form of humiliation , but for who, the horse or the rider?
ReplyDeleteBesides the colors, it just does Not look comfortable. The colors must be trying to make up for that.
ReplyDeleteYou want some more tack submissions? Yuck.
ReplyDeleteI was kinda thinkin' it was so it didn't get lost in the tackroom...
ReplyDeleteThis is a handy little review:
