There are no words...

Thanks to Rebecca who sent me this. These are spur straps available from Rod's, and are very possibly some of the most hideous things I have ever laid eyes on. I hate the acid washed hair on cowhide, it looks like they had some sort of horrific skin disease. To add such "lovely" color to them does not help this effect. Here are a few preview pics, you can go to the site if you dare and see even more.

  1. I kinda like the brown/black one. At least a cow "could" be those colors. The purple and green ones are just hideous.

  2. You know, bling is in... or somethin. I agree, the brown one is at least "realistic".

  3. I am with Laura and Drill on this. The brown ones are acceptable but the other two are hideous.

  4. If only I knew a drag queen that rode western — those would be a perfect gift! ;)

Seriously though, there is a lot going on there for such a small piece of leather. Too much!

  6. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

There, now that I got that out of my system... I wouldn't be suprised to see somebody wearing them in a bar combined with the silver boot tips and kilties. Now that might be stylin'

  8. I can totally see some barrel racing princess wearing these. A good racer--not so much. But it takes all kinds to make the world.
I was looking at my Smart Pak catalog today and really liked a browband with a nice design of blue beading and an autumn color background. But the price of $190 was, ummm, a bit much. Wow, no wonder dressage is considered an expensive sport.

Maybe someone loaned out their pre-schooler to the tannery? With crayolas? Or finger paint?
